What If? Shifting from Fear to Faith

What if, instead of focusing on what could go wrong, you imagined what could go right? What if you didn’t get fired, but instead, you found a job that lasted, one where you felt safe and valued? What if, instead of fearing rejection, everyone showed up to your party, and even if the details weren’t perfect, they loved you just the same?

What if you realized there’s so much time left, more than enough to do the things you need to? What if the conversations you had were just the right amount—connecting, meaningful, and without regret? What if everyone had a great time because you were there, your presence making all the difference?

What if you took that leap of faith and it worked out beautifully? What if time didn’t just pass by, but unfolded in amazing, wonderful ways? What if you never regretted telling them how you really felt? What if you lived in a way where there was nothing left to regret?

What if your grief didn’t break you but made you stronger, revealing depths of resilience you didn’t know you had? What if the ending of one chapter wasn’t the end of you but the beginning of something new and greater? What if you exceeded all expectations—not just meeting the bar, but raising it?

What if the kids turned out just fine, thriving in ways you couldn’t have imagined? What if your trust wasn’t betrayed, and that leap of faith was rewarded? What if it wasn’t a waste of time after all, but a season that prepared you for something better?

What if you aren’t destined to be alone, but are enough, perfectly designed for the life you’re living? What if, instead of constantly worrying, you chose to hope just as often? What if by changing your narrative, you changed your entire perspective? Imagine the freedom in shifting your focus from fear to faith, from doubt to possibility.

What if everything really did go right?

We often ask ourselves, "What if?" but our imaginations tend to wander toward fear and uncertainty. What if things go wrong? What if I fail? These questions reflect our human tendency to worry,

But what if we flipped the script?

What if, instead of focusing on what could go wrong, you imagined what could go right? The Bible encourages us to live with hope and expectation. In Jeremiah 29:11, God promises, "For I know the plans I have for you... plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." What if, instead of fearing disaster, we trusted that God’s plans are good?

What if the job you fear losing isn’t the end but a path to something better? What if, like in Proverbs 16:9, where it says, “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps,” you trusted God to guide you toward a place where you feel valued and safe?

What if your leap of faith worked out beautifully? Hebrews 11:1 reminds us that "faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." Imagine taking that leap, knowing that God is with you every step of the way.

What if your grief didn’t break you but made you stronger? Romans 8:28 tells us that "in all things God works for the good of those who love Him." The loss or hardship you’re experiencing may be the foundation for a new, stronger version of yourself.

What if instead of worry, you chose to trust? Matthew 6:34 says, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself." God calls us to live in the present, trusting that He has tomorrow in His hands.

Imagine the freedom in shifting your focus from fear to faith. What if everything really did go right—not because of luck, but because God is faithful to His promises?
